Simon Smith

Player Valuation: £5m
Who knew that it could be so boring being a pro footballer?

On-loan Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, 20, has revealed how he is improving his game - by watching every second of every Premier League game.

Now this may be just made up paper talk, but it sure beats sitting playing footie video games or going out and getting drunk with the lads, or what ever other things they get up to?

you wanna change your title to 'things to DO while at everton' i think.

This is genius tbh. People complain about young british talent and moan about our national side when the fact is, our country is awash with a culture of celeb wanna be bull5hit.

So whereas our lads are out and about, snorting coke and hanging out the back of scuzzbomb slappers who wanna be wags, this lad is studying every minute of every game.

This is awesome. If he studys every player of every team hes more likely to pick up on a defenders weakness...and hopefully exploit it when he plays against them.

If more of our young english players had this mentality our national side would look a lot stronger because the prem would have more english lads starting for prem sides.

In 1-2 seasons the lad will probably be the one the top 3 forwards in the world, and remain so for many years. Must feel good being a Chelsea fan.

Genuinely got to hope that chelsea sign a £50M forward in Jan...then its pipe dream stuff, we would need to finish in the top 4 and come up with £20M + to have any hope of signing him.

Think he will fall in love with the place though, that will help but ultimately we will be looking for a new forward come next summer which will be devastating.

Couldn't believe it when we signed him on deadline day.
Watched how he scored for fun last season at the baggies and really didn't think Chelsea would let him go out on loan again.
I guess that there must be a lot of very unhappy Chelsea fans that he is not playing for them this season, but their loss is our gain even if only for 1 season.
Make hay while the sun shines is an old saying, well I for one hope it's a long hot sunny season.

What an absolute GEEK, get out more, enjoy life, just stay off the BEAK.

The man is determined to be the best he can and should be congratulated for it.

Nothing in life comes easily even for the insanely talented - hard work, dedication, single mindedness is required. Perhaps Lukaku can be to football what Tiger Woods was to golf in his early days - he just took the game to a different level through talent and intelligent application - more difficult in a team game but the parallels are there.

Tiger Woods????

Are you being serious? He is one of the best golfers ever, but it wasn't because he stayed in watching every shot of every golfer.

Oh no, he was out getting as much hole as he could.

Good Lad
