RIP offs, especially if big business takes over smaller ones e.g. Pubs/breweries, vets, football teams, public transport - amongst a number of others. Unfortunately many of the worst examples are when foreign or multinational companies get involved. (You can tell I have been to the vets with my cat this week )

30 years ago or so we only really had 4 or 5 channels (unless you were posh and had Sky) and nothing on demand, but because of the huge choice we have now there can be hundreds of things on telly at any given point and absolutely nothing you want to watch.

When we had less choice, I probably appreciated what I was watching far more than I do now.
