2025/26 Thierno Barry

IMO he's had his chance.

Get him back on the bench.

That doesn't mean revert back to Beto though; we should be looking to play a different way and get someone like Alcaraz taking up the role Martinez handed to Naismith a couple of times in that false nine role.

We have the players at the top of the field to find a solution...the only reason we have Beto-Barry-Beto-Barry is because the manager cant be flexible.

Midway through the second half we turned the ball over to break away, he controlled the ball into him very well with defenders around him and then miss hit a five yard pass and we lost possession. Moyes went ballistic on the sidelines. It sums it up for me, he has something but just isn’t consistent

I want it to happen for him but I'm with you.

I at least felt Beto had a finish in him.

I'm not seeing anything that fills me with confidence he will score a league goal in another half a season.

Played well really good first touch when he plucked the ball out of the sky. He just needs a goal or two and confidence in front of goal will be loads better and could end up having a run of goals
Technically he is really good.

I do think he was just really unlucky with the deft finish - he wasn’t helped by a heavy touch but had good recovery pace. It was noticeable when Beto came on and the ball bounces off him and he doesn’t seem to win as many headers.

His wayward finish is because he’s trying to hard to smash it in. He needs a scabby goal to get him going
