It's a shame we pissed the league cup up the wall. We could have used that to rotate the squad and gain confidence.

Beto was stripped ready to come on about 52min , I don't get it , if he was subbed at HT fair enough or the usual 65/70, waste of a sub window for me. Beto did nothing but to be fair to him on this occasion all he had was hoofs of Pickford over his head

He's not missing chance after chance as we're not creating chance after chance. Give him 3 or 4 full consecutive games to see what he has, the team has to work to him, whole point of the dilemma

Ok , he's short on confidence but I have no idea what his attributes are as he doesn't seem to do anything particularly well.

I dont think he looked terrible. Wored hard and had some OK touches. He needs time and we need to get better as a team playing to a strikers strengths. Guy already looks like he has weight of workd on him, he's not being managed properly in my view. Needs time not bit parts

He's nowhere near a player we need, but I dont abide with the way Moyes is treating him. He's humiliated that lad and destroyed his confidence.

It's honestly worrying for me how many people think he had a decent game last night. In what way? Is this how low the bar is now?

I am not the kind of person who bothers with xG or whatever but we have to use statistics when it comes to actual performance metrics.

He missed a sitter my 8-year old daughter would score

He lost 6 out of his 9 aerial duels

He lost 6 out of 6 ground duels

That means he lost 12 of his 15 duels (80%)

19 touches all game and only 3 in the opposition box

2 of his 2 dribbles he lost

6 of his 11 passes went to the opposition

He also committed 3 fouls and got a needless yellow card.

Where is the good stuff?! There used to be the occasional idiot complain about Lukaku on this forum. This kid hasn't the ability to lace Lukaku's right boot. He is also 2 years older than Lukaku was when he came to Everton but he 'needs time'.

Nil Satis Nisi Optimum? We know we are nowhere near that anymore, but we also should expect a player earning an incredible wage to have at least 1 shot on target so far this season (he has zero).

La liga is full of clubs that can't spend any decent money on footballers. It's a broken league, like many in Europe.

We also saw Sorloth play in the premier league, it was laughable.

He just doesn't look a good player, granted Beto is no better this season but at least Beto showed us last season he has goals in him, Barry has poor positioning, he can't hold up the ball, doesn't run with it either, in 10 games (304 minutes) he's had 7 shots made 37 successful passes and won 21 duels I just don't think he's cut out for this league
