2025/26 Thierno Barry

Dreadful that for 25 minutes. I know he didn’t get a pass, but you have to get yourself involved in a game.

I was disappointed we never replaced Chermiti, especially with someone a little different than what we have in the sense of perhaps more nimble and pacey instead of the tall target type, a in the box kind of striker who anticipates a rebound etc.

I know good forwards are far from cheap but it’s clear we are lacking a genuine threat up front.

I would advise this lad to stay more in the box if he can, a few tap ins, get the confidence going, a bit like what Carlo did with DCL.

Seemingly no desire or application, no urgency to get in the box and jogging around like a rabbit in headlights...reminds me of Davy Klassen, Moise Kean and Sandro. Huge disappointment this lad so far and worse still I would be amazed with any dramatic improvement. He just looks like he cba

I agreed with everything till the last paragraph! You made a great argument for why dropping Alcaraz has damaged Beto, so the solution there is obvious. I like KDH a lot, but whereas Alcaraz constantly looked to play the ball behind the centre halves for Beto to run onto, KDH constantly looks to play it out wide to Grealish.
Agree with this tbh. Harsh as KDH has been good imo and takes great set pieces, but particularly in the case of Barry i don’t think KDH at 10 is the player that will gel with him as much maybe Ndiaye, grealish or even possibly Dibling.

The 3 behind the striker are all interchangeable with the exception of KDH and it could be time for Moyes to start trying some different configurations.

Another who looked like he had potential and is more and more looking like he is going to be terrible. Our strike force is pretty shocking again this season.
