2025/26 Thierno Barry

I know he scored today, but honestly if we could get our money back or as near to at the end of the season, I’d cash in.

Not seen anything that makes me think he’s got the potential to lead the line successfully for a top of the table aspiring side.
Generally speaking, I see potential, but there are games (like today) where I doubt myself. I really don't like his lack of aggression or strength. I can forgive a little bit of slopiness with the ball here and there and, as I've said a few times, what I like about him is that I can see clear progress (albeit slower than you'd want) in his game, but I also want to see more intent and aggression all round from him. Beto is an absolute cart horse of a striker, but he's got that strength and aggression that *almost* makes him worth having on the pitch at times. If Barry had a fraction of that, he'd be twice the player he is currently

Big lack of intensity from Barry and still after half a season I don't think we're any the wiser as to what his strengths are. To be as anonymous as he was in the 2nd half today was really poor.

We lost the game because of Moyes. Fatal error in strategy that left us completely unequipped to deal with the opposition.

Daft imo to read too much into any individual performances when this is the case. Every single player was poor, even down to reliable performers like Garner.

Still feel that Barry will be a good player for us. And fwiw, I could be saying the same in the O'Brien thread or the Dibling thread where they are also being heavily criticised.

There's the bones of a good team here, just missing some crucial pieces. I think some will be shocked to see the upturn in the form of all of our players if we get some full backs.

He jumped but completely missed the ball at the goal from the corner. He seemed less than committed. It was the carbon copy of another similar corner goal conceded by EFC at home. Can't remember the game though.
It's up and down with this lad.
