We just need him to get hold of it to take a bit of pressure off, but it comes back as soon as it goes into him. Granted it’s a solid job playing upfront on your own, even more so with 10 men.

As I’m typing they’ve just said he’s won 14 duels so maybe we have missed it

I know but if winning aerial duels is classed as a great game, granted tough task with 10 men we shouldn’t have much problems finding a better forward in January.

interesting stat, won the most headers of any player in any game all season 14. Had been concerned he didn’t look physical enough but can’t argue with the amount he’s won in the air today. Some nice touches as well. Still a good bit to go but showing something, goal would do him the world of good.

Been much better these last two games. What a shock that a little run of games can do for form and confidence.

Worked bloody hard in very difficult circumstances tonight.

Proper shift. Once we went to 10 men it was never gonna be about if he could break his scoring duck. It was about working hard, getting in shape, occupy the defenders.

Even when he tired, his last action was to throw himself at a Fernadez effort.

Excellent effort.

He did work hard and credit to him for that, but it's really the least we should expect.

It's December next week and he hasn't had a shot on target. He simply doesn't look remotely likely to score a goal.

We'll sign someone in January.
