He doesn’t deserve half the acclimatisation time people think. That said I’d have left him on. Called him over to the touchline, put a rocket up his arse in terms of effort, but left him on.

We’ve now thrown a game we were dominating whilst simultaneously having our shiny new striker even less confident than he was at kick-off. He’s been crap, but his integration has been appalling by Moyes.

The frustrating thing is that if we are going to pump long balls to the number 9 then the two wingers have got to get up close to the striker to give us a chance of getting the second balls or flick ons. We're smashing it to the striker who is marked by 3 defenders.

It clearly doesn’t work and it’s lazy yet we persist with it . Years ago they used to call teams who played like that “ale house teams”.

We did the same first half in the derby and stunk yet second half we passed it a bit better and actually had movement.
