My concern with him, is £33m is lot for someone whos played 73 top flight games full stop.

Serial Goalscorer, which is positive.

We have money for a striker, but he remains very much in a "grey" area for me. That said, I thought Delap was grossly overpriced for a fella who has scored 12 goals. Moyes has a type he wants clearly. Providing hes not the second coming of Oumar, im happy.

I wouldn't go above £30m but this is the market we're in. If we were signing from Holland or Belgium then the fee is lower but the risk higher.

If we want someone to come in and lead the line then it's a gamble we will have to try and take I think. The negotiations are important here in giving us maximum leeway for other signings too.

I like his height and he has a decent record over a relatively small number of games. That might mean nothing but in general I like a big lad up front.

Brighton just paid £30m for an 18 year old who has only played 22 games and scored 7 in the Greek league. Very difficult to get a bargain when it comes to strikers unfortunately
 

Never seen the lad kick a ball.

But looking at the nerd graphs, it seems were definitely, and wisely in my view, prioritising players who can progress the ball.

I am unconvinced but always happy to be surprised. After we let DCL and Doucoure go, was hoping for some more technical prowess instead of just physical freak. If he can’t finish from 6 yards out, I am dubious. We already have Beto for that role of ‘does everything well up until the finish’

Only watched the one vid but im getting beto vibes which isn't necessarily a bad thing...

Seems chaotic with a knack for getting on the end of things

Would love us to go for a proper pace merchant to mix it up....

If dom stays and stays fit we'd have a focal point, threat on the counter and pace.merchant as options
