The stage is set for him to write his name in history with an Everton winning goal

"The Walcott Derby"
Things about Walcott missing chances is half of his chances could have been scored by other players if he just had the nouse and skill to pass.
Gylfi'ss goal against Cardiff, how easy was it for Theo to square the ball for Gylfi to tap in than make the shot himself. I'd give it at least twice as easy.

If he could just get an assist it be worth calling it the Walcott Derby.

Interesting how your opinion goes into autopilot on any player over the age of 25. Interesting how we have won 4 of our last 6 games with Walcott starting. Interesting how utterly wrong you have called it before on other young players

Favourite post my him. I wouldn’t mind, it’s football chat. It’s all utter nonsense anyways, it’s just the condescending way he does it like he actually has a clue what he’s talking about

Faces who id like to see this window;

Ravel Morrison (rotating with Barry/McCarthy)--would add a great deal of potential into the midfield and has a nasty streak as well. Him Ross and James could be our centre for the next decade!!!

Tom Ince -- No idea for whether left/right wing but always I nice to pick up skillful players on the flanks. Would rotate wth Mirallas and Pienaar at this rate next season? Perhaps McGeady as well

Batshuayi-- Never seen him play but a fast tricky young striker ticks all the boxes for me.

Martins-indi-- Need a left footer as partner for Stones. Seems to have the lot:

Robles
Oviedo
Martins-indi
Stones
Coleman
Ince
Morrison
McCarthy
Mirallas
Barkley
Batshuayi

Squad game as well of course so the likes of lukaku / jags / distin /howard etc would find their way in.....however we'd be set up nicely for the next few seasons here.

Utter LOL @Zatara

Different games require different things.

Alot of criticism for him but he's still making positive runs, after all we did score from another run through the middle from him. Not saying he hasn't been relatively poor, but against Liverpool I'd much rather have his pace keeping Robertson back, with Lookman I think Robertson would be more at ease pushing forward and I don't know if I could trust Lookman to follow the man. Not sure Walcott would either but I dont think they'd push as much leaving Walcott alone.

That's it. Bingo. He and Lookman bring different things to the table. Lookman is better at playing in front and running at backlines, Walcott is better at trying to get behind and putting pressure on the backline off the ball. Think Walcott is a better fit for this particular match.
