How bad has garbutt really got that we can't even give him a chance at lb just untill we bring someone in, other then a couple of unfullfilling loan deals and a bad injury in the championship the lad looked to have real potential when we brought him to the club, has he just got comfortable picking up a nice paycheck and lost any desire to fullfill that potential. If that is the case then I can sort of understand the reason but the fact we are now looking at spending 20mill on Walcott who has been doing the exact same thing for the last 11yrs at arsenal doesn't fill me with much hope!

..that is interesting. I have to say, I always doubted he’d be willing to come north of the M25. As i’ve said, I doubt footy is important to him, I wouldn’t be surprised if he makes a decision based on logistics.

Well Walcott isn't over 30 so it's alright

he's 29 in a couple of months and injury prone.

The decline has already begun and imagine selling him when hes making 100k a week and finished in 2 seasons.

The questions I ask myself before we sign a player are, do we need the player and will the player improve us. In Theo's case it's a resounding 'no' to both questions.
