I was going to say the same thing. This is probably as close as he’ll ever come to a policy I’m in line with. I know they’re better for the environment in every way, but my God paper straws are the worst.I’m kinda with him on this one.
Paper straws are grim
Even the China “de minimis” tariffs have been put on hold as somebody suddenly realized they didn’t have the workforce to process all the packages.
Which will mean a huge rush to front load buying those items before the tariffs are applied. Meaning our trade deficit with China, the thing Trump really cares about will get much worse, at least temporarily.
You’d really have though the project 2025 could do a bit of forward planning on impacts.
