Would that be the Villa away Baros debacle To be fair to him his game was more suited to Italian football and whoever scouted /signed him was at fault.

January 05.. we could have signed Darren Bent from Ipswich & Dean Ashton from Crewe for a combined £6.5 million. Instead we got Beattie.

Moyes has gotten it wrong a fair few times. But i'd say he's gotten better has he's gotten older. I still don't get McFadden & Hahnemann though.

Surprised John Oster hasn't had more mentions. Signed with hype of being the next Ryan Giggs, turned out to be a poor man's Simon Davies.

We have had worse in the time I've been watching - eg Nyarko, Holmes - but these have been mentioned plenty already.
