...never been bothered by landmark birthdays, 50th and 60th were a good opportunity to treat the family to a nice holiday. Funny how they seem to come around quicker as you get older.

...fortunate enough to be able to take them to Jamaica last year, New York for my 50th. Yep, it's great enjoying these events with your nearest and dearest.

A few of us were fifty this year, loads of weekends away.
Some mad ones, some quiet ones.
All were top weekends away.
You just generally get mellower as you get older.
But as @Eggs says, time just seems to speed up the older you get.

For my 40th weekend we got one of the dogs ready and we landed a lovely little gamble at the track. Some ace photos etc.
I'm deffo going to look at that holiday idea of yours mate. Jamica and a cricket match would be ace for the next big one.

My 30th we had our leaving do for going to New Zealand (2 days later) so it was a bit of an event really, 40th wasn't anything different from any other although it would've been in Florence for the Fiorentina match if I could've got tickets.

Mentally I still think I'm 18 esp after a few pints , although it's more like 78 the following morning with a bad hangover
To be honest age doesn't bother me.
I'm fairly fit , a good weight, easy job so I just plod along.
Age hasn't really stopped me doing anything although the over 50s five a side on a weds evening is getting harder by the week
The ball doesn't sweat so we try and let it do all the work
