This to me is a perfect example of what woke really is.

Changing the colour of the strips so that a minority can better enjoy it while having absolutely zero negative effect on everyone else.

I can't see why anyone could get upset about this

The uniforms/kits is something that has always baffled me about Euro sports to be honest.

In US sports, someone wears white and the other team wears their colours (generally speaking). It's easier to watch as colours aren't clashing

I’m colourblind and in rugby it tends to be less of an issue given the teams usually are separated by the line. Mauls and stuff when the players are more mixed up are still fairly easy to see as they tend to be slow.

Football is another issue given the players mix way more. Most of the time it’s not an issue as teams have 3 kits to choose from but sometimes (rarely) it can be basically unwatchable.

Same problem, can never watch Newcastle v Sunderland if they’ve both their stripes on

Following on from my “has the telegraph always been like this” comment last week, the news that Barbie (Mattel) have released a doll “with” Down’s syndrome.
The story appears on my feacebpok twice, once the telegraph page and once the the bbc
The telegraph is nearly nothing but abuse, anger and ”whatever next in this woke society” crap

The bbc comments were nearly all respectful, positive and dignified

I choose to believe that it's only a tiny subset of maniacs who have the time and energy to get annoyed about such stuff then stay mad enough to write about it on the internet. It's probably better that their energy goes into hooting into the abyss than anything in the real world.
