This forecast didn't play out as expected. There was about 8-10 inches of snow here, and then it turned to sleet. So it's just cold and the snow is like an ice sheet.

It is strange weather in America.

Weather apps are a joke. They take one computer model and go with whatever it says, no matter how ridiculous. A real forecast made by humans analyzing many different models and real world factors is still miles better.

There were models predicting we would get unreal amounts of sleet, like 7 inches worth which is almost impossible. The human forecast was for 2-3” which is exactly what we got.

I'm glad you said that because I'm using my observational humour to write a script. Shame I've left it so late (I'm 73 but share the same birthday as John Sullivan). Leftover dish of soapy mice (6,3,6) a clue from one my crosswords.
