Tbf I said they’re not dinosaurs which is correct. Dyche is a dinosaur but we most defo need dinosaur football for the players we have on our books.

The problem with Kompany, is that he needs players who are very comfortable on the ball to play the way he wants and they cost lots of money and wouldn`t want to go and live in that part of Lancashire. Burnley centre is like stepping back in time and even though the surrounding countryside is off the scale beautiful and wold be a wonderful place to live, there`s not a lot there.

What a load of rubbish. All the young Burnley players live in Manchester or Cheshire, which are both less than an hour away.

He's "on-brand", you see, an adornment to the Premier League Product.

His whole Burnley role was designed purely to promote his personal brand, to send out the signal to the "big clubs" that a "big personality" like Kompany was ready for the step back up to where he belongs: at the pinnacle of the game, playing "in the right way". What of it that way leads to relegation while such noble brand advancement is in progress. Burnley are lucky to have him - for as long as he deigns to grace them with his regal presence.
