Sharpys top lip

Player Valuation: £60m
Everton boss David Moyes has told Newcastle United they must fork out £3million if they want to sign young striker James Vaughan.
And news of the Toon's interest has put Stoke City, Hull and Bolton on red alert - and they could all come up with late bids` offers.
Vaughan is growing restless with his lack of action at Goodison and may quit the club where he is in the history books as the club's youngest goalscorer.

Moyes would let Vaughan, 21, go for the right price because he now has Yakubu returning from injury - as well as having Louis Saha and Jo also on his books.

Vaughan was due to make the big breakthrough at Everton by now but injuries have slowed his progress and he is now set to try his luck elsewhere.

TBH i would be happy to let him go. I know a few on her rate him. But not me. He's far to injury prone an when he does play does'nt do.

On another note, love the title thread!!!

yeah i would not mind letting him go however would like more than £3m as only last year was it chopra went to sunderland for 6m but yeah cant see him getting much action this year. I would be looking for arounf 5m

Wouldn't let him go for £3M, that's a steal in my eyes. When he's fit he is a good goalscorer. But as you said... he's injuryprone. But if we buy Distin for £5.3M then Vaughan should go for a similar amount. Also remember that when Jo returns he only have Saha (32) and Yakubu (27) ahead of him. Saha is also injuryprone and with older age probably more in danger of getting injuries. So after this season Vaughan could very likely move up the peckingorder... if he stays fit of course.

Would probably keep him this season and give him this last chance to prove he is worthy of staying here.

I wouldn't sell him. Still rate him and believe that if he manages to get rid of his injuries, he can become a very good player for us. Wouldn't mind sending him on a season long loan though.

I would be sad to see him go, but I could understand why it would happen. Its a shame that a player that I've always thought had a lot of potential has had to go through such long injury spells. I think he could've been a great player by now, because he has all the attributes.

I'd like him to stay for another year.

Ditto , my mate , Dutch .
When he's fit , and on-blob , he's defo got it .
I would admit , though , it's last chance saloon , for young Vaughany . His fambo are brummes , but are all - now- mad blues . I'd be sad to see him go .

Loan him for a season so we can be sure he doesn't turn out ace and keep fit.
Exactly what we need to do with him and Anichebe. They need regular footie to develop, not sitting on the bench (or treatment table). They will either find their natural level (like Ameobi who is clearly championship class) or they will prove that they are the real deal.

Also helps the development of Akpan and Agard who are also knocking onthe door and are not injury prone. I really do rate Vaughan, and to some extent Anichebe, but they desperately (when fit) need real games under their belt.

I'm told Ameobi is only out for a month~ a month's loan would be really good for him.

I agree . I think he is a decent enough forward and what happens if Louis crocks his knee again ?

his career has suffered with lots of injuries , but apart from that i cant understand why so many rate vaughan as a good player ?
when ,what ,where how have they got the impression ?

imo its all based on hype and not actual fact.
ive never seen him play and thought "wow , he looks a good player" at most ive thought "he perhaps has potential".

his career is destined for the lower leagues imo.
ipswich or norwich would suit him.

In my humble opinion it is Anichebe that we should be trying to get shot of. If I remember correctly he managed to score one goal last season barring the UEFA cup.

anichebe was always below vaughan , but as of 2 seasons ago anichebe is light years ahead of him now.
anichebe has proven pedigree.international , premier ,euro experience and a fair few goals.

whats vaughan got other than unfulfilled potential ?

anichebe i could see playing for big clubs in some other eu leagues , vaughan on the other hand , not a chance .
