Mad how the hype just came crashing down. Holm schooled her, Rousey has so many holes in her game but was blasting people who were so scared of being taken down. She needs to listen to her Mum and get herself a new coach. Funny him telling her how well she was doing when she had looked horrible in that first round.

She should announce a break from fighting now and work with a proper coach, come back next year to make another run. Let Holm fight Tate and Peña.

Is that the most excited Mark Hunt interview ever? Hardly recognised him!

They'll give her a rematch at UFC 200, and if she wins, even more money to be made in a rubber match

Think shes more concentrated with her burgeoning movie/celeb career lately than her fighting one. Shes reading too much into the hype

And some folk seriously thought she could batter Mayweather in a fight, last night proved how ridiculous that argument truly is. She couldn't get near Holm and was made to look like an amateur because she has not footwork, no head movement and no idea how to close the range. These are the absolute basics of being a boxer/kickboxer. If Holm can easily batter her like that with her vastly superior boxing skill then imagine what Mayweather would do. Hopefully this is the end of the nonsensical adulation she was getting.

This is an excellent video which explains the little details about why Ronda wasn't able to get the armbar on Holm and how close she actually was to getting it.

There was much more to this fight than just a boxer vs a grappler, Holm was very well prepared by Jackson and Winklejohn to ensure she didn't end up getting her arm snapped and then was able to utilise her striking game.

You can argue Mayweather would batter her and likely he would, but he'd need to have this kind of training first or he'd for sure end up with his arm snapped.

This is the guy Ronda should look to for taking her to the next level, while she takes a break.


 
I do think the fight highlights the difference a top camp makes.

If Holm trained at Glendale she'd be nowhere near the level she performed at the other night, and if Rousey was at Jackson-Wink she'd have evolved a lot more.

If I was Rousey I'd be looking to get to Tri-Star soon as.
