Wonder if anyone still reckons she'd beat Mayweather.

It sounds like the lunacy it is these days but that was a mainstream belief in the MMA world not so long ago.

She wouldn't strike with him, go straight to grappling and she is world class in Judo. I reckon she would have a good chance on that front.

Honestly didnt see cruz getting beat like that. Thought no love might have enough power to catch him and ko him but not dominate like that. Saying that how good have both of them been after the fight would have won so many fams around the world. Cruz has shown every1 how to take a loss

I'm glad she got battered again, hopefully that's the end of her in MMA now and people in future will not be so stupid to hype someone up as insanely as they did with her.

Normally I'd feel a lot of sympathy and understanding for someone who says they felt so low at one point they considered suicide, I've been to very dark places like that too and wouldn't wish it on anyone. However, when people go through terrible times like that it's important to reflect and try to become a nicer, better person going forward and be grateful what you have. For me she hasn't changed one bit from that horribly arrogant and disrespectful cow she was prior to the Holm fight. The fact that she refused to do her fair share of media obligations in the lead up to fight like everyone else, apparently demanded a massive purse ($3m compared to Nunes who only got about $100k) and wouldn't listen to people trying to help her like her mum just reeked of arrogance and entitlement, all stuff that's developed in her as a result of the undeserved adulation she was getting for years.

She's a bully in every sense of the word. When she was winning she would mock her over-matched opponents and behave like a spoilt brat. Now when she's losing she runs away and refuses to face the music, or even shake Nunes' hand for that matter. She's not a role model and never was. I hope she gets her life together and find a way to be happy going forward but for me all the misery and humiliation she's suffered she undoubtedly brought on herself.

Anyone got the MMA Hour on? Cody has called out Aldo, Khabib has offered 200k of his own purse to Tony Ferguson to take the interim 155 fight. Interesting to see what happens.

Cody/aldo would be a wicked fight and one id def be into, thou mcgregor really does have alot to answer for weigjt devisions and rankings mean naught now days. Every1s just after paycheck fights. I see bisping and woodly are even trying to drum up a catchweight fight. Could just be the count trying to avoid fighting yoel thou

Or Woodley trying to avoid a Wonderboy rematch, he's also been making noises about McGregor.

I see what you mean but it was always going to go this way eventually, this is why they're also so quick for interim titles now. There are too many fighters who just don't draw the numbers they need. Aldo is one of them, which is why I think the talk is about him fighting Cody or Khabib. I doubt he'll do either and he will end up fighting on an undersold PPV before Holloway is fit.

How bad did Ronda look? Mad this kind of thing is still happening in today's MMA. Grapplers thinking they're knockout artists, and not sticking to their A game. If she doesn't change camps she may as well retire from fighting. Her biggest problem is she seems to have some sort of personality issue, where she judges herself on her status/accomplishment, so going out on the back of 2 embarrassing defeats wont sit well.

Woodley instigated that not Bisping. Wish they would fight in their own weight divisions or go back to the old days when they didn't exist and that would be a bit daft.

Woodley might have instigated it but so far since his defence against hendo he has thrown up fights against gsp nick diaz and now Woodley. I dont blame him for it just wish champs would go back to defending against number 1 contenders. But then again i reckon the term superfight gets thrown around way to easy so who knows

I know what you mean about no.1 contenders but I think now the UFC has new owners we'll see less of that and more of the fights people (casuals) want to see (money fights). Although I guess the Interim belts sort of put the no 1 contender forward.

In fairness to Bisping...

He beat Anderson Silva, Luke Rockhold and Dan Henderson within 8 months last year! That's impressive in the fight game.

Bisping has spent his entire career being called out by everyone, as people always seem to underestimate him.

There is strong talk GSP is coming back for the right deal and a title fight at MW would be massive, you can understand Bisping wanting some of that and putting his name out there. I think for GSP and the UFC as well a title fight vs Bisping would be more appealing than one against Yoel (if he were Champ).

Diaz has a far bigger name than his talent warrants so I don't blame Bisping for mentioning it, but can't see it happening.

As I mentioned before Woodley is using names to try and get his over. For someone who has been in mainstream films, presents on Fox Sports and is the WW champion, he's not the draw you would expect him to be. Hence his need to use McGregor and Bisping to try and promote himself.
