The Trinity

You put your striker in the box and keep him there.

You play a creative player off the striker to create chances.

Simples.

I hope Moyesy reads this. No wait, he likes his main striker to collect the ball at the corner flag ( A Johnson etc )
Maybe, just maybe, if the main striker collected the ball in the box he might score., or at least get a shot off. It's difficult to score from the corner flag, I've tried.

Don't see how the 'trinity' would be any different from a 4-5-1.

The 'Holy Trinity' played with a pair of wingers, Morrisey and Husband mainly, with Royle up front, Ball being the main attacking support.

I'd be thinking more of a 3-5-2. using Coleman and Baines as wing backs. Something like:

GK (Mucha for me at the min)
Neville - Jagielka - Distin
Coleman - Arteta - Fellaini - Rodwell - Baines
Cahill - Beckford

I'd go with that.

Oh that drove me mad mate, but it's not a Moyes thing, it's what AJ does. Watched him for Fulham, he wins loads of throw-ins.

But he was 3 years ago, and last season in some Europa games. Thing is mate, and no disrespect, but how do you know? How does anyone know? Players need to have a chance, and something is clearly not right - yet he gets a first team number, just seems mad.

He has the ability, all the experts agreed he was well ahead of his age group, but for some reason or another, in two and half years he hasn't been able to get a game.

My mates watch the reserve games, they're pretty good judges on who they'll think is good enough.

Hmm, well he's played 7 games this season and scored 5 goals. So he seems to be doing pretty well, and all the reports suggest he is playing well. So not sure what games your mates have been at, but facts are facts.

When he left he said he was being told by moyes to do this and didn't like it. That's why I think when I see yak and Saha do it they're being told to do it. It's not a coincidence that yak slotted home 20 goals in his first season by just standing in the box, and Saha got 14 by pinging goals from everywhere and now he's scared to shoot.

My thought is that the Goodison faithful would give 100% support to some of the younger players being given a go. Just one or two at a time, seeing as the experinced players are seemingly incapable of getting the job done. It may also serve as a rocket for them once they find themselves sitting on the bench.

or could it be Round?

Were scapegoating all over the show here.

Even when we find the agreed candidate, were still all going to wake up in the morning and feel down because Everton are utter [Poor language removed].

Mate if you found a bloke with a bloody hammer and corpse you'd see some way of not thinking he was to blame.
