Looking to go away for the night with a mate, just some walking but mostly somewhere nice and rural to sit off.

Wheres best in North Wales that isn't too far to get to from Bootle, lar?

Never been before, any must dos, hidden gems etc?

Staying in a town called Rethymnon on morth coast.

I think Retheymnon is on the west of the island? If it's the same place I'm thinking of them it's a wee Greek port city and really nice, I stayed there in a mate's house a while ago.

Cader Idris is a superb summer hike, and the view from the summit on a clear day is fab.

It's a very tough mountain in bad winter weather though, did it once in heavy snow and it was absolutely brutal.

It's a 5 minute walk though. Lovely place I agree.

Nah it's there. Nice port around a bay, lovely bars and restaurants. Was only there for a wee while visiting my mate in 2010 but liked it most of the different places I stayed there. Enjoy man. Amstel>Mythos.

..I remember going to Rethymnon about 35 years ago with soon to be Mrs Eggs. One hotel and a bar in those days. Have a goodun.

Richtis gorge. Bit of a trek but definitely worth it.

looking at there or Vegas next Sept/Oct.

I can't fly those distances in cattle so needs to be virgin premium economy or BA business. Seems to be huge price differences, basically a few days spends in either resort difference so I suppose what I'm asking is, is vegas loads better than Atlantic city?
