The Tories attack Health and Safety Again Lord ( Not So Young)

Some of you probably know that my profession is Health and Safety

I started on the shop floor worked in Factories, served in the Army etc then moved into Health and Safety

These bastards just dont get it do they

Well we are going to fight them tooth and nail if they try it on ( When I say we I mean we the people the Unions etc etc etc) Its taken hundreds of years to have the right to go to work without being injured or made ill ( Despite all the efforts 180 people were killed at work last year which although tragic is still a massive improvement on how it used to be if this lot get their way mark my words this figure will rise )

Watch the ill informed Lord 'not so Young' in the link below he talks absolute [Poor language removed]

I am quite sure that the Tories opposed the Health and Safety at Work Act at the time

Since the Health and Safety at Work Act between 1974 and 2009:
  • the number of fatal injuries to employees fell by 81%;
  • the rate of fatal injury (per 100 000 employees) fell by 83%;
They want us back in the workhouse

Rant over

Like puttin goggles on the kids in school so they can play with plasticine :lol: The worlds gone mad.

The darn buggers, how else would we know the benefits of anti bacterial gel and not reheating rice? And them fire drills are boss when you have to go outside and the new bird in the office gets cold showing some ultra-nibs.

Good article here about it:
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/u...alth-and-safety-ever-done-for-us-2000529.html

Most reports of "silly" health and safety rules, such as that schoolchildren must wear goggles when playing conkers, turned out to be myths. The real rules, requiring tractors to have cabs and roll bars for example, had saved many lives. Allegations that health and safety rules had proliferated were also mythical. Since 1974, the number of pieces of legislation has halved, according to the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health.

This is general apathy to Health & Safety you monsters, azula is also a Health & Safety bod.

She's took some stick from me like.
So was mine. She still can't walk past fire hydrants or safety doors without noting their position. You just don't like them because of the forms.

H&S bod: "Your hotel is made of wood. Can you show me what you treated it with and a signed declaration of fire-resistance, as per my company guidelines?"
Continental hotelier: "Do one, before I throw you through the very expensive windows that don't have cheap sticky birds all over them."

I have

1. teased a swan ( no arms broken )
2.switched of lights getting out the shower( still alive )
3.changed many light bulbs on my own ( still in light )
4. I've also managed to open a can of tuna with a blunt knife when i lost the tin opener

Who needs H&S?

The 18 year old lad who died last week after being crushed by a Forklift truck

I have been involved in the investigation

Would have cost about 400 quid to have trained the driver and maybe 100 quid for a barrier to segregate the forklift truck from pedestrians

But hey that costs money if common sense had been shown etc etc etc etc etc
