I don't think anyone's saying Osman should be first choice central midfielder, the majority of us are saying his best and most comfortable position is central midfield and it's been clear for a while now that he is no right winger and to be honest, never has been.

Osman is a perfectly capable central midfielder, not brilliant, but certainly 'Premier League' standard. People forget that he played there for the majority of 07/08, he was one of our best players and yes, we finished 5th aswell as doing very well in the Uefa cup. His spell in midfield was far more impressive than both Cahill and Fellaini's up to now.

I think everyone wants him benched and if we are to progress he needs to be a squad player, but then that's why Bilyaletdinov was signed.

Nothing's changed.
We've always said that against average opposite (eg Wigan) Hibbo can do a job for us. On this basis, he still has a place in the squad. However, Against quality opposition he becomes a liability.
RB and RM are still out two top priorities.

Good player just can't play with Ossie in front of him. I'm not sure who has to be dropped to sort this out. He did have some great crosses yesterday I'll say that.

He and Osman always are made the scapegoats after each defeat. Hibbert for me may not be Everton's greatest player but he is an Evertonian, gives 100% and still remains a decent squad player. He may find it difficult to get a starting place if the Heitinga deal can be concluded but he still is a decent enough player of Premier League class, contrary to what some people believe.

Dude, Hibbert has spent his whole professional career at Everton, and was playing for us when not a single one of our players or manager had even been thought of. He was once named as the best right back in England and has suffered with injury and illness ever since.
I can't think of any other player who deserves it more than Hibbert.

I don't ever want to see Hibbert in another shirt other than Everton blue.

In this day or mercenary players, Hibbert understands what it means to play for Everton.

He may be an average player, but he's OUR average player. I hope he spends his entire career here.
