Without him in our side in the dark days who knows where we would be now .
God bless ya dave lad .
Fantastic read.
And especially interesting, as I actually remember him (his twilight years, anyway), so it's good to learn a bit more about the great man, and what came that bit before my time.
You nearly got me, Cabbie... *hides eyes, sniffles*

Thanks again a pleasurable read as usual, i had forgotten he was in charge for a while.
memories rock.
A crackin job done again LCAB and a fabulous read.
One of my all-time heroes as it was my era growing up. You always want an Everton player to try their damndest but mid 80's to the present he's one of only a small number that consistently put his head and whole body for that matter in where it really hurts. Mounty and Ratters as fine defenders as they were it would be interesting to hear Snods view on Dave after he moved into the back 4- I'd bet his thoughts would be just as glowing as your own lcab.
Mr Dave Watson certainly deserves more mention than he gets - a pep talk from Davey W to our current crop would be something to cherish in my eyes.
Raise my glass to Davey and much applause to you LCAB. Younger fans and recent converts should watch some footage to get a grasp of what Jags etc should be aspiring to- fight for the Everton cause there's only one way.
