Ill join the many and say if we HAVE to raid Wigan it would be for McCarthy. He obviously plays within himself at times and goes hiding which would have to be coaxed out of him by Jags and Co.

Id much rather raid QPR tbh, with Hoilett and Remy being the obvious duo.

Its obvious that we need a Goalkeeper who will make life difficult for Howard. A CM is a must as we need cover and competition for Gibbo and Osman. We have all identified that ST is a position that needs strengthening.

Ok, enough guff. Im going for:

GK - McCarthy (Reading) or Schmeichel (Leicester)

CM - Romeu (Chelsea) or Bridcutt (Brighton) or Chalobah (Chelsea)

ST - Anyone who can guarantee 10+ goals a season (Ie an improvement on what we have!)

we all complain that our squad is too small - especially if we want to play in Europe and want to rotate -
Martinez will surely know who the diamonds were in the Wigan outfit -
if we can pick up a few of them cheaply they can come in handy especially because they already fit in with the manager and his style of play -
I would like to have Mcmannaman , Kone , Espinoza and McCarthy if I could get any of them cheaply - all of them brings something which we are lacking -
surely there might be better players but at much much better prices as well -
Everton needs 5 or 6 new good players instead of one or two excellent ones to make them sustainable over a long hard season
