Exactly, I think he is a decent, tidy midfielder. Keeps it simple etc

What he isn't is a creative player who'll set up goals, nor a beast of a player who'll dominate midfields.

You could buy an equally good player from Spain for less than £5m easily.

I must admit, whilst I somewhat rate McCarthy, I'd rather avoid signing him just because the lack of imagination shown thus far by Martinez in the transfer market has been startling.

Thats exactly how I feel. I really hope he's got a gem or 2 hidden up his sleeve because so far its been pretty unadventurous.

As I said a few pages back,SNN are reporting strong interest in Moses from West Brom, who have been tod 'he's available'.

Yeah I know but I'm hoping Martinez might hold a trump card if they got on well together at Wigan.
