I don't think he's on 30k a week, a bit less. I'm pretty sure wigan had a wage structure where no one earnt more than 20-25k a week.

I think the priority should be signing good players, not cheap players.

Like I posted, Heitinga going will leave us £2.5 million better off, bringing in someone like Alcaraz on a free leaves us with cover whilst allowing us to use that £2.5 million to strengthen other areas. Including the actual fee we receive for him!

I've no doubt Martinez will be using the above added with whatever buttons Kenwright has given him to spend to bring in "good" players and strengthen areas that are really in need of it.

I wouldnt say he's injury prone. He just had one unlucky season with injuries. As for the spitting, that isn't acceptable but people do make mistakes. That said if he does anything like that at Everton he will not be here long.

It is disgusting and it's not really acceptable, but it is still a mistake. He wouldn't have done that in the normal day of life would he, he was clearly annoyed and reacted terribly. Hopefully he has learnt from the mistake.
