Manchester United have made a £56million bid for Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani, according to reports in Italy.

Surely this report is bogus - why on earth would Man Utd spend so much money on a striker when they have a midfield and back line that need strengthening?

That is a lot of money for a player, especially one totally unproven in the Prem. Somehow I just can't see this being true. As you said they should be sorting out other positions as a priority.

I suppose they have a bit of history in that they should probably have signed some midfielder/defenders rather than signing RVP although he did win them the title.

Hope it is true as would be fun seeing Cavani in the prem but doubt we will

Absolute rubbish - it's just journos trying to find stuff to write about because they literally have no news at the moment.
