The talk the other day was that Giroud was really their only striking hope...

Whether I am inclined to believe that or not, a lot of 'legends' got on board with that.
Giroud is the only out-and-out striker on our books right now, nobody else can play upfront. If we get Welbeck, he has more pace and better link-up play than Giroud so I'm quite shocked United would strengthen us like this. It's really a disgraceful deal from their viewpoint, I can see why their fans are angry because we're both going for top 4. If we don't get Welbeck, likelihood is, we'd be looking at 5th/6th.

He's not an out and out striker though. He'll get at the peak of his ability, 10 goals, tops.

He's an attacking wide player - basically another Sanchez, Walcott, and Chamberlain - in a three

When people say Arsenal need another striker, they mean they need a poacher. Just someone who turns up, slots, sits out.

Man Utd seem to be on some kind of self-destruct mission.

They'll have to play some kamikaze football this year.

They're just going to play 7 pacey strikers and hope they score one more than the other team.

Expect to see a lot of 5-6 games.

Hernandez would've been a better shout IMO if he was on the off.

I'm pretty sure United honestly don't think he'd pose a threat and I think they need a bit of transfer money coming in as they're spunking loads.

Sky Bet are reporting sustained backing for Arsenal to sign Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, prompting them slash the odds on the Schalke striker joining the Gunners to 1/3. However, they also remain odds-on to sign Danny Welbeck, with the England international 11/4 to remain at Manchester United.

I know who I'd go for.

Huntelaar is an astonishing finisher.
