I'm sorry...had that gone on in any American football game at any stadium I've attended, it would have met with massive protest, and they'd have been ushered off (if not beaten to a pulp). There really is no place on this planet for ignorant people like him...not giving you a hard time for not saying anything mate...but over here, it wouldn't have been tolerated by the masses. At least any venue I've been to...I don't regularly attend games in Alabama though, so I can't speak to those places. The American South is well known for ignorant racist behavior.

No offense to my friends from the South...I've lived there...I've seen both good and bad down there. Lived in Houston/New Orleans for nearly a decade. Seen the good side and the bad side in those places.

That sort of stuff will get you run post haste down south, particularly anything remotely racist in public. cheesy. You've been on the gulf, you know better. People go to games and get drunk and stupid, but there's no patience with this at all. We'll never be free of bellends and ignorance, but's no longer 1963, mate.

I knew I'd draw a negative response with my post from down South...and I welcome it...tells me that things are getting right down there.

Never much see overt racism in the Northwest (the Pacific one), so it came as quite a shock to hear some older white folk talking at a doughnut shop in Phoenix. Changed my perception of America.

PMSL...a metropolitan area of almost 2,000 square miles with almost 5 million people and all of a sudden the whole area is racist. Hilarious. For most of its existence Phoenix has been a city comprised of transplants and you're lucky to find anyone over 40 who was even born in the state, let alone the city, so point your racist finger elsewhere.

Sat next to some ginger mutant and his mate in the away end tonight, proceeded to abuse Naismith all night and kept shouting "black ****" at lukuka everytime he made even the slightest mistake... Proper audible as well.

Spent the entire game cringing, didn't want to say anything either as he looked like a complete nutcase.

Proper decent Evertonians have a duty to get rid of awful racists in the stands I feel- go to the steward and get him ejected. Especially if he's seemingly mentally unstable.
Don't sit cringing and do nothing. Although I accept its easier said than done. Does the club, the fans, the players, no benefit not doing a thing about it.

Its easy telling people what they should have done when you're not in that situation. The lad was probably intimidated and had all sorts of repercussions going on in his head if he would have spoke up or told someone. its easy to slate someone and tell them what they should have done when your not there.. i would bet my house that the majority of people ****ging this lad off wouldnt have said a word.
