This is karma for what they did all those years ago when they gazumped us for Kyle naughton
People walked out in droves with 48 minutes on the clock against Brentford. The stadium win lose of draw tips out in night games well before the end.
The combination of terrible transport links and alienation form a stadium and its environment would send us hurtling into the Championship in any near future relegation campaign.
Everton need to take note that this is happening for Spurs.
Do we think that new stadium of ours and its environs would be conducive to generating the type of communal response to save the club's bacon again?
A soul-less anodyne environment like that? A stadium with zero reference apart from badges 50 foot off the ground on the corners of the east and west stands to the team that play in it? A stadium claimed by rugby league and union?
What can we learn from this?
We've just been in this???
Mate the stadium is far from soulless. We had to move and we have a great stadium with a great atmosphere. We also needed to increase our revenue and taking it in from other sources no-brainer. I disagree with your ‘claimed’ remark also. This has absolutely no bestie impact on the club and brings money in.
Thing is Dave that might be the case if true but we’re not in a relegation battle, I was at the UTD game I didn’t see that either…a game we lost.
These are right in it up to their eyeballs so to have them walk out at HT is just throwing in the towel.
You could be right but I think there’s slightly more chance of a relegation scrap forging a stronger bond between the fans and Everton Stadium. The streets around the ground would look amazing in blue smoke.I disagree Groucho. If this club hit the buffers right now we'd be in trouble. Relegated in fact.
No one can connect with this new place yet, and the dynamics around it of keeping people out (and not getting them to it efficiently enough) and denying our identity for corporate contract reasons would do for us. Championship team in the making if we're not VERY careful.
Nah... the fans make the club, not the stadium. Scousers are angry. We love to get riled up and would be there in a heartbeat to support the club.I disagree Groucho. If this club hit the buffers right now we'd be in trouble. Relegated in fact.

And open the western terrace pre-match and have thousands of Evertonians line the route from the players car park to the entrance…with added blue flares! You could be right but I think there’s slightly more chance of a relegation scrap forging a stronger bond between the fans and Everton Stadium. I remember sitting there in the Gwladys at HT with my wife (girlfriend at the time) in absolute despair...but never once did I think of walking outBoth clubs have been 2 down to Palace at HT in a dire situation. Ours was worse with Arse away to come.
What happened next? Their fans walked out. Ours rallied and helped the team to 3 points that guaranteed safety.
On top of that, they wanted to destroy the league and enrich themselves in the super league cartel.
Would love them to drop and stay there for a good while
