I hadn't really read up on this until now but it seems he could he be in some serious trouble ?

In the documents submitted by her lawyers she claims he raped her whilst she repeatedly told him 'stop' and 'no'. There are also leaked documents (not 100% confirmed as legit but seem to be considered authentic) which show Ronaldo and his team acknowledging this happened back when she first went to the police the day after the alleged rape occurred. She was also examined with photographs taken and evidence gathered. Apparently she signed an NDA worth $375,000 but now her lawyer wants to contest that.

Both Nike and EA Sports have publicly expressed concern with EA removing him the front-page of their website.

Juventus had a complete mare trying to show support for him as well with two poorly constructed tweets



 

Leaving aside the did he or didn't he and the right and wrongs, I expect him and his very well paid defence to win the case. Unless there are more ladies waiting in the wings to give the impression of a serial offender much like in Cosby case etc. I can't see him being found guilty as it is always difficult when it is just her word against his.

It will probably put a taint on his whole reputation for life even if he is found not guilty though.

If the leaked documents are real (and the general assumption seems to be that they are) then he's literally admitted to it on record...

I doubt he would have been stupid enough to do that, surely those documents would have gone through his lawyers first and if they have allowed anything that can be used in court as an admission to a felony then he definitely asked Trump who should represent him. :)

yep, I always think the same. no matter what the outcome, there will always be the idiots who say "there's no smoke without fire" and he will have to carry that for the rest of his life.
No one should ever be named until they are found guilty

Not sure, it might bring any witnesses forward that can validate either side. The media has a role in being sensible with its reporting, innocent until proven guilty, which in the most cases they won't.

Yes sometimes these are leaked to the media to find other victims. The issue is liars will come foward as well which is why this process is flawed plus ruining the guy name. If there are other victims then this should be on the police databases and check these rather then make it public.

Im a supporter of keeping names private until they are guilty but how could you keep a case involving ronaldo out of the public limelight.

About 20 years ago I had to deal with a sexual harassment allegation between two of my employees. The accuser was a terrible employee, and she knew she was getting close to being fired. The accused was a great employee working hard for a promotion and was head and shoulders better than her. They held equal positions.

When the accusation was brought to our attention it seemed very plausible. She was genuine and detailed in her accusation. Shocking behavior if true.

When confronted with this mountain of information, he was absolutely dumbfounded. He actually laughed a little and rolled his eyes. He didn't get defensive at all, never lost his temper, and flat out denied the allegations. I honestly didn't believe him at that point. He knew it. Eventually he came out to me as gay.

I was floored by the idea. We had worked side by side for nearly a year. He was a mountain of a man and African American. 6'4" and built like a truck. Again this was about 20 years ago, and I was 20 years more naive. At that point I then started to go through my head...one of the first questions I ever asked him on a personal level was 'Are you married?' 'Something like that'. Ah...so a long term GF obviously in my head. My next question was 'Oh, so a long term girlfriend then'? His answer was, 'Nah but something like that'. My nativity immediately led me to think he was playing the field while maintaining multiple girlfriends.

He was exonerated at the end of the day and she was found out to have multiple wrongful termination lawsuits in play.

A few months later I ran into him after he had been promoted. Promotion meant leaving the nest and building/fixing your own nest. I also met his boyfriend/partner. They are married today.

So either he is playing the longest game ever or he might be innocent.

End of the day though thoroughly investigating every allegation is required.
 
Ronaldo will win, no-one will believe her and his fans will make her life a living hell.

IMO gay men are still capable of raping women. I mean, straight men rape other men in prison, don't they? It's not about being sexually attracted to someone. It's about power and control.
