I’m enthused by the sight of Dychette tears, that’s all.

And also about staying in the Premier League this season.

Needs must sadly.

We are in freefall and cant afford any risk.
David Moyes isn't the only manager on the planet that can avert relegation. I'm as happy as the next man that the East Midlands ginger stain is gone but replacing him with a marginally better dour and drab ginger is thoroughly disappointing. It also doesn't exactly scream "new owners, new Everton" either. This is straight from the Billy Liar playbook.

Well, Dyche has gone now but West Ham who spent hundreds of millions, with a squad significantly better than ours with players like Bowen, Kudus - earned 4 more points than us last season.

You also look at Moyes record in 19 and 20 games when he tookover a struggling team in West Ham in winter, and it doesn't look good.

Remarkably similar to Dychey’s record in 2022/23 actually, which I’ve been told was a miraculous achievement.

Not ethused at all just well clear of the situation even if is 18 months, still can make changes in that time and need to get bwck to buying younger players ready to push this club on. Get the psr stuff sorted get us back mid table then look onto the next manager then to hopefully have a better base work from.
I just have no faith that we will "push this club on". Appointing David Moyes is exactly what Kenwright would have done. TFG aren't exactly "changing the story", to paraphrase a certain bald tosser.

Don’t mind a 2.5 years deal. If Moyes is given a chance to work on next summer window, there’s a good chance he will sign a proper left and right back and build a solid foundation for years. Leighton/Coleman type signings are well within his abilities.

If your house is on fire, why not get in a fireman that did a good job last time.

Moyes biggest problem will be the fanbase.

MOST of the fanbase hates him, the rest will just put up with him.

Hes gonna have to get results and get them quickly, then if he does get results, things will quickly switch to the style.

Fella is on hiding to nothing and hes gonna have to be Pep to last here.

All his best results seem to be done in his second season, which is strange because everyone seems to want him binned off before then.

Because that fireman is now retired and has COPD?
