Transitioned West Ham into new stadium

I think they'd already moved there by the time he turned up.

17/18 he took over with them in the bottom 3 in late November and stayed up with 42 points from 38 so nothing amazing but everyone would take that now.

19/20 was harder to call with covid interruption but again stayed up with 39 points so a little bit more closer although they were safe before final game.

17/18 he got Aranutovic scoring and midway through the second season Bowen came in so going to need to make that sort of inspired signing or get far more out of one of the existing CFs which is a big ask.

You’d think he’d be considered on a short term deal as he’d be a safe pair of hands, would play slightly better football and there would probably be some boardroom misjudgment where they think it might be seen as the return of a “legend”

He kind of has a point though. There's plenty of better, younger and more progressive managers out there.

It's the vanilla ice cream option. It will do it's job, it's safe and boring but there is better options and flavours to choose from.

I'd personally prefer someone like Fonseca. Been wanting a prem job for years, vast experienced at some major clubs and worked under his ownership before.

However of the realistic domestic options which includes Steve Cooper, Gary O'Neil etc Moyes is still a better manager than those as he's shown in last few years.

It becomes more of a Kendall type homecoming risk if he's given it for 2-3 years as then fan unrest will probably grow quickly if it's a poor start to next season.

13/14 years of just nothingness

sorry mate but i was expecting something bigger/better

under new owners
It's about steadying the ship for the first season in BMB - still in the Premier League. I read somewhere about Carsley coming in as his assistant. I hope it's true and it happens because that's what I've wanted all along.
