The reasoning behind us playing on Monday night?

The red rag the echo saying we should give Moyes a good reception, thought we had already done that, when he was in charge for his final game,I personally have waved good bye. that's it, finito.

Considering it's a Monday night game after an international break, I can only assume it's as punishment for some unknown transgression.

Given that ourselves and Sunderland have just had a blank weekend because of the international break, I can't see the logic in us losing another weekend when there is only ONE live game scheduled for Sunday this week (Swansea v Chelsea). Surely they could have had the normal 1.30 and 4pm kick offs on Sunday and included our game, especially when they have all the European matches in next midweek.

But what would Jamie Carragher & Gary Neville have done !!

See I'm enjoying the football now and looking at the other games. Everton is the cherry on top on Monday. Aswell if we got bad result today I'd be in no mood for football at all. We also will know what position we are playing for come Monday.
