The race to write off youngsters

Bungle

Player Valuation: £90m
Why? Whilst there's some reasonable support for players like Aznou and Barry, there's plenty of negativity after they've not played more than a couple of games between them.

What happened to giving players the chance to develop and make a few mistakes during the learning process? Its not just these 2 but it's happened with plenty of young players in recent memory. I suspect Armstrong will be built up and then get pelters if he has a couple of poor games.

It'd be nice to see a few more support our players and embrace the positivity that the new owners and stadium brings to give the club a lift as a whole, the continual negativity makes us live up to the bitters name.

I know it's a crazy notion but maybe see how they get on over more than a few minutes, new country/league/language at young ages and serious expectation, least we can do is give them one less thing to worry about each weekend by not giving a load of abuse. Let's leave that behind at Goodison.

It's the world we live in now. People demand instant gratification for everything. It's a real shame.

Grown men shouting at teenagers about positional sense and poor touch whilst swilling their beer with their gut hanging out the bottom of their tshirt. Then home to twitter/X to hurl some personal abuse at them and their family members. What a world.

Appreciate that part probably isn't just unique to our fanbase. Just grow up though lads and do some fulfilling things with your own lives so you aren't so angry.

Fans should realise the old saying you can't learn an old dog new tricks - a younger player can learn & needs a chance ....

It’s a side effect of buying “potential”
When the club spends more money on a young talented inexperienced player, rather than an older, probably cheaper, reliably Premiership-proven player, people think the young players should be able to perform instantly to the same level.

There is also a factor of if someone is good enough to make it into the first team, they should be able to be relied upon not to constantly make mistakes and need on the job training.

How long have you posted here?

The young players have never been given a chance

It’s by far the worst part of our online support
