The 'prioritisation' defence

I live in Devon now. My son (who has just turned 14) is a true blue. He was distraught on Tuesday night. Fortunately most of the kids in his school support Man Utd (with it being Devon and all).

On Wednesday he got home from school and put his Everton away shirt on. He got a parcel from Kitbag with a nice Everton jacket. He modelled it proudly.

I suppose that's what being an Evertonian means to most of us. We put the crappy result/performance behind us and move on to the next match with stoic 'optimism'.

On any given day one team CAN beat another. We CAN win the FA CUP. We stand more chance than Arsenal, Man City and Man Utd for a start! :)

Just being realistic lad

Do you think we are going to win it?

Oh and City arent in the F.A cup

I think we will win on Saturday.

Then I honestly think we can win another 2 games, regardless of who we face.

On our day, with 11 players on the pitch, whoever they are, we are a match for any team in the World, bar Barca, I think they would tear us a new arsehole.

But they arent in the FA Cup either.

Heart tells me we have a chance

Head tells me not

Hopefully my hearts the one thats correct

Moyes got it wrong end of. He chose the team to prioritise for Saturday no question. However in losing the game and losing it in the manner we did heaps 10x more pressure on the players for Saturday (even though some of the players that should play on Sat didnt get a minute on Tue - Johnny being the main one). I would rather have put a team out on Tue that deserved to play and should/would have played better than the dross that was served up on Tue, and have them 95% fit for Saturday but with the full backing of the crowd and who knows maybe even a derby win in our pocket. Everyone saying it will be point proved if we beat Sunderland but it won't be, I would argue that we could have beaten both if we played the strongest team we had available but now we will never know. On a sidenote will the Premier League fine us as they have done in the past i.e. Blackpool for fielding a weakened team?

Its a sad sight to see, a former great poster resorting to being damon-lite.

It can be cured by saying "Moyes is an annoying ginger git" 17 times whilst watching "Greavsies six of the best from the 80s" tape.
