Power shift on Merseyside

The last ten years has seen a shift in the balance of who is top team on Merseyside.

Since the start of the Premier League - the other team on Merseyside have accumulated 1339 points compared to Everton's 1047.

However over the last ten years there has actually been a narrowing of that gap - here is a table to show just how well Everton have been doing compared to their neighbours

Premier League Ten Year Points Record

Them 608 - Everton 520 - 88 point gap

Premier League Five Year Points Record

Them 264 - Everton 247 (A gap of just 17 points over the last five seasons!_

Premier League Two Year Points Record

Them 57 - Everton 69 ( 12 points ahead now!)

Current Campaign

Them 5 - Everton 13 - already ahead!!

How many by May?????

Is this including this campaign??? kind of double counting a bit there arent ya??

i encourage thee to hold onto ones horses and not count ANY OF YOUR CHICKENS BEFORE THEY HAVE FULLY HATCHED

I want them in a semi-final or preferably final and to beat them. Been waiting all my life for that...

think the original post is totally wrong, there has been no power shift, on the contrary, the gap has got wider in real terms.

judge it by the commerical revenue, judge it buy the transfer activity, judge it by the on the pitch and off the pitch ambition, judge it by the fan numbers, but dont use some selective stats.

im sorry, but where miles behind liverpool as a club, and the constant obsession with comparing ourselves to them is embarassing.

This.

They're bigger than us and will be for the foreseeable future.

You're seriously arguing that commerical revenue is a better way to judge a club then where they actually finish in the league.

All a bit Dalglish for me, like.
