But without going into the if it’s perceived it exists argument it would. The question is if nobody was around. So if a microphone was placed in a Forrest and it caught a tree falling over in its vicinity and that was played to somebody you’ve caught the moment the tree falling disturbed the air around it causing the sound. Nobody was there but it made a sound.

Sorry, it is only a sound when a receiver picks it up. I know it seems ridiculous, easier just to accept it than think about it.

I’m sure this is the crux of the debate but I’d say it does. Do X-rays not exist because our eyes can’t pick up their spectrum? It’s a very human centric way to see the world. Lots happens around us that we either can’t perceive or just aren’t around to whiteness

my thought has always been just this. until a receiver picks it up its just a vibration in the air, a sound wave, not a sound..... no-one in my family agrees with me though so who am I to say!
