Im sorry to bring this back up and im sure it has been covered, but im sitting here watching the EPL highlights and the Derby is on. Can i just ask wtf!!!!! was Arteta doing when he tried to out pace Reira down the flank????, there was no way he was ever going to beat him and like 3 passes later we conceded. Honestly what was he thinking????? GRRRRRRRR

proberly the same as the defence allowing all the space in the world to Torres I mean its not as if nobody knows hes quality:@

Jags was unlucky with that second goal though, it was clearly a miscommunication between Yobo and Jags and clearly Torres was Phil's man but his challenge was first class, was unlucky the deflection fell for [Poor language removed] Torres (hope he [Poor language removed] off to Citeh)

First goal was unbelievable. Leaving one of the classiest forwards with that much room was shocking.
Its happened far to often this season.I cant believe its the same defence as last season,I thought Cars was underrated but he was also of limited ability going forward and finding a better player to replace was going to be easier than it appears(y)

Jags had Torres in his back pocket untill he lost him for that 1st goal. The 2nd was unlucky because Jags made an excellent tackle on Kuyt, the ball just fell to him then. If Jags had've kept on man marking him and sticking to him all game, I think the game would've been a draw being that no side had any really chances.

I did only see the first goal once, but wasn't our defence left completely open by the midfield. i couldn't see one midfield player backtracking when Torres scored his first?

The best defence in the world rely on protection and support from midfield. especially against the likes of Torres. I think they did support for most of the game btw, just lost concentration for a mad 3 minute spell.

I agree the mid field didn't help but leaving a player like that unmarked is suicidal

Fact is losing the ball there as Arteta did is always dangerous. Add to that the fact that the following build up was so quick, and to be honest, perfectly orchestrated. perfectly weighted ball to Keane. And Kuyt dragging Lescott to the near post was another example of how important he is to the [Poor language removed]. We're all on a downer with the defence at the moment and everyone's been blaming them for terrible errors. Rightly so in the case of unforced fuckups. However this was a midfield (Mikel) error combined with speed and precision in the counter which caught the defence on the back foot a bit imo.
Have to admit if we'd scored that goal, I'd have been raving about it.

Well to be fair the defence didnt do too much wrong. Just that little 6 minutes lapse when Torres was given room to breathe and the game was over. Other than that and Hibbert standing off Riera too many times, there wasnt really anything they made creativley that threatened the goal.

As I've said, for all the possession they had they didnt really create anything and our half chances could've changed the game.

They had 2 chances and they fell to the best striker in the world, we had 1 and Timmy fluffed it big time, that was the only difference between the sides, for all the money they have spent, the 25m they spent on Torres is the best signing they have ever made.

I know some wont believe me, but the only 2 players i would have from them are Gerrard and Torres, the rest are utter crap and wouldnt touch any of them with a barge pole, maybe Alonso and Maschahahahahenro, but thats only cos we lack Midfielders.

Did everyone else miss Fellaini's chance in front of goal - I keep hearing about Cahill's miss, but Fellaini actually got his shot in, hard and only Carragher on the line prevented it going in. Either side of him it would have been 1-0. Very unlucky.

Was I dreaming or did this actually happen because I've not heard anything other than 'Cahill's best chance of the game' talk?!!

Felliani was judged to have fouled pepe the midget clown, so the "goal" wouldnt have counted, as i said to my mate, he was unlucky, he hit it too well and that made it go str8 and hit that horrible little **** carragher.
