The ******* Police

Went and impounded my car tonight - for not being insured, even though i showed them the ******* insurance documents and dirvers license.

So i just had to get a £15 taxi home, have to pay the impound lot £150 ******* POUND. ALL BECAUSE THE ******* POLICE COMPUTER IS ****ED UP.

Hate the smug ******* coppers too. THE ******* ****S.

Cost me over £200 - which i dont have - all because of a computer error.

Not happy.

Go to the C.A.B (Citizens advice not Curly Alan Ball) surely they are obliged to at least give you you're money back with maybe a bit of compo on top for the inconvenience if you can prove your out of pocket because of it

Chill. I understand you may be a tad upset. But they will give you your money back. At least they are doing their jobs.

I had it happen to me. they re-imbursed every single penny and a few more. Also sent a letter to my Gaffer apologising for any delay or problems they caused. Life's too short to get so wound up all the time.

No, they didnt sadly.

Went there this morning, had to fork out £150 which the police are 'not responsible for', the irony being that £150 was for my next insurace payment. Just great.

If you done nothing wrong and have the documents to prove it and they only impounded you car cause of their error surely you are entitled to your money back.

Don't give up and let them fob you off saying they are not responsible. Get down citizens advice pronto.

Fight the power, stick it to the man etc etc.

If you dont get anywhere that sucks but you gotta stick up for yourself and not yet them basically rob you like this.

Right...basically...after a long chat with some woman police officer...its not the polices fault. She was really helpful actually, apologised for the inconvenience and even phoned the insurance people for me. When she mentioned that they owed me money the insurance people said they were busy and hung up.

I later phoned my insurance, and im getting nowhere - it was their cock-up and i payed for it. But they arent getting away with it, ill keep phoning until i get my £150 back.

if they keep jerking you around speak to a lawyer, £150 or not, its a matter of principle and they shouldn't be able to cheat you out of your money. best of luck in fighting the system
