This is a massive sticking point, considering that one of Koeman's philosophies is to get his teams fitter and more hard-working than the opposition. We're nowhere near that.

It is the players. Maybe Koeman isn't the guy. But you know what. It has been the players that have been overall subpar for 2.5 years now. We have never addressed the missing number 10. They are 3 years older, Baines is aging. Coleman can't defend. Barry is old. We need a major clear out

Gang of absolute shithouses. Get a good few in in Jan to tide us over until the end of the season and hopefully stem off any relegation battle. then complete overhaul in the summer.

Lets not kid ourselves tho, Koeman is not blameless regardless of how dump the players are.

Honestly never disliked an Everton team as much as these.

This is obviously only apparent in hindsight. And if we had actually done this, we'd have torched the stadium in protest.

But we would have been much better off now had we, in summer 2014, sold high on Howard, Coleman, Jagielka, Baines, Barkley, Mirallas, McCarthy, Gibson, Oviedo...

Not a single one of them has maintained that level, much less improved.

The 90s teams at least showed a bit of grit even if they weren't very good at togger.

This team has neither ability or fight - I genuinely reckon this group is up there with the worst sides in Everton history.

I agree. It may well be that Koeman isn't the man. I'm having doubts myself now.

But is there a single manager around who could get anything out of this squad? Not that I can think of.

The complete lack of passion, fight and desire by so many players is killing us right now. Last year it was obvious that many downed tools over Martinez and the past few months it looks like they've continued that habit just because they can.

Some of Ronald's words recently I think he knows that as well.

Unfortunately I don't think the backroom of the club have the capability to get in the players we need in January.

From todays squad the only players I'd keep are:

Barkley
Deulofeu
Lukaku
Holgate
Gueye

The rest can go straight into the bin.

Pretty much what I replied on the GOT Twitter feed. Keep them five as the core of the team and build around them. The rest can do one as far as I'm concerned. Get rid of what's left from the Moyes/El Fraudo era and have a clean slate.

Because he doesn't want to ruin the players confidence, it's not fair to bring in the youth in this team right now
