Bah......the 50 sommats are, by definition, glory hunters as their heyday was the mid to late '80s

Ditto the over 70s with their Golden Vision and Holy Trinity in the Swinging Sixties.

But all usuns in our 60s?

We paid our dues in the 1970s.....:p

Like these young lads today, we had bugger all to cheer about for yonks.

Not for us Trebilcock, Sharp and Rideout.......for us it was Bernie the Bolt, Geoff Nulty, Pistone and Alexandersson

So quit yer bitchin' there Dario :p

:pint2:

Does the 50 summat, glory hunters tag apply to us 59+ Blues who hanker, pine and pray for those glory days to return at least for one more trophy before the hooked finger from above signals our substitution... probably for Ossie to come off the bench to replace us.

It's ageism!

sixty and a half born in 1955 just sent for my bus pass, before the Tories scrap them!

:rant::rant: I think you will find they have scraped them until you are 66.

My :rant::rant: is worse that when we signed Bernie 'the bolt' Wright. Will have to stop the blood pressure is going through the simmer frame.

I hope so anyway, Block......but by 'eck time is running short :pint2:

I did and you Negged me in the old days!lol
My first game was Bolton Burden park away aged five won 2-0 in 1963 used to go and watch the youth team in the youth cup at Goodison- So cannot remember my first EFC game at home !
The best footballing blues team has to be just the Ball - Harvey - Kendall team, The football was telepathic - you turned up at a home game expecting to win with class, and ease which was mostly the case.
Away from home you knew they were a special team when the home fans applauded them off the pitch after we had won easily, travelled to many away games, most memorable one was at Anfield in the championship. Season we won 2-0'stood on the Kop as a lad with my blue attire on with the Afield road end just chanting Champions Champions as we played a very good
LFC side off the park- thousands of blues in the Kop that day it held 20'000 your feet were hoisted off the floor!

Hear, hear Joe, that's telling them young folk like Dario. My first game was in '61 or '62 can't remember know. But like you have seen a lot of games pass under the bridge.

Its nice to know there are plenty more arl arses on hear sometimes it feels that I am from a different world. Also if we are going for exclusivity I dont want to see anybody on here wearing a syrup or dying there hair baldies or grey hair only please.

No that your old age pension age 60 + a free bus pass just sent the paperwork in with proof etc!;)
Bernie the bolt what a laugh he was his kit never fit him !lol

I remember a crowd of Evertonians around Billy Bingham on Goodison road, all asking to bring in such and such a player,he saiid in his Irish accent " don't be worrying lads, I got towsends to spend, funny at the time

I qualified for this thread last month. Whilst not my earliest memory it was one of the best. A mate of mine, we played for the same team here in Northern Ireland, was scouted by Everton, he was over there for about a month and then was sent back. He wasn't good enough for his age. Before he left he nicked as much gear as he could, he took Brian Labone's shirt. It was the old yellow ones Everton wore when colours clashed. He gave me the shirt. Had it for years, it fell apart in the end.
