was always going to happen after that dodgy pen call, football is very predictable at times

The indirect free kick was dodgy, but on seeing the handball call again, it's not as bad as it first looked. The player charging the kick turned sideways and had her arms out to the side. Her hand knocked it into the second player whose arms were legally at her side. Two handballs, the first was the problem. It could be argued that she hadn't time to get out of the way, but I think the fact that she was charging the shot nullifies that. She knew what she was getting into.

what are these uzbeki's and kazhak's doing in the boxing? they seem to keep getting loads of dubious decisions in the boxing. every fight i see the crowd boo due to bad judging

yeah, i felt the same, i was on about the indirect free kick

why is it that when the boxers get past the quarter finals they're guaranteed a medal?

Both losing Semi finalists get a Bronze each. Relatively new rules. Once there was a 'box-off' for Bronze but not anymore. I think the rule was brought in to stop complaints about semi final losers expecting to get the gold if they had lost to the eventual winner.
I think that might make sense.
