Just watched a lovely compilation on the BBC website of women triathletes all falling off their bikes around the same corner. One even got ran over by another behind her! Not for the feint hearted that like...
The track cyclists are looking so very, very good at the moment. The girls pursuit and Kenny in the spring are looking very strong. Bauge is still a big threat in the sprint but I can't see anyone beating us in the pursuit. We really do kick arse on the track and in rowing.
Can somebody please explain this cycling event to me ?

Omnium is like the decathlon for cycling, so riders participate in lots of different events, and the best all rounder wins. The one on at the moment is the points race. There are sprints every 10 laps, and you get 5 points for winning down to 1 point for finishing 5th. The sprint at the end is usually worth double points.
If you can lap the rest though you earn 20 points. That's pretty much it.
