Should be a good evening for medals tonight.

Evans won in the boxing, never saw it, how did he do?

Had to work today, but listened to five live while driving to appointments. They have done a good job as always though.

As thought it started of slow and cagey , 2-1 down after round one and he looked maybe a 'little better' in the 2nd and tied it up but in the 3rd he upped his work rate and looked a lot better and there wasn't really any doubt about it. As the lad said earlier the more relaxed he got the better hr looked.

cheers, watching it now.

These Olympics are ace, I was late for my first meeting because I wanted to watch the British lad in the archery.

WR for the female team pursuit, nearly four seconds ahead of the very fast yanks. They were half a second up after the first lap.

Love how the men AND women are leagues ahead. Just utter domination. Such a shame about the DQ yesterday.

GB volleyball ladies being spanked though sadly.

Do we have better bikes or something

I struggle to understand how you can be 4secs quicker

There was a good point on that in the Guardian's coverage of the Tour de France - basically it claimed that whilst the rest of the cycling world was engaged in an ever-escalating arms race of drug cheating, the British looked at all the legal ways that you could improve performance (especially in terms of coaching, lets face it Brailsford is one of the greatest coaches ever in the sport), added them all together, invested a lot of money in infrastructure and development of talent and kept trying to improve.

Once the UCI clamped down* on the drug cheats it meant that the British ended up being miles ahead of everyone else.

* albeit not very hard
