It wasn't premature to be fair as they were the results, Japan just disputed them.

lets hope not, they were ecstatic when they thought they were guna get bronze, judges should aplogize majorly to ukraine for cocking up and getting their hopes up. seen some ukrainians in the crowd cheering and being chuffed when they had bronze

Britain had a silver, Ukraine had a Bronze. Japan appealed they got silver, Britain got bronze and Ukraine got nothing.

It's not Japan's fault. They analysed the video evidence for ages and it was an initial cock up really, the Japanese did nothing wrong.

Feel bad for the Ukranians. Getting knocked down a medal sucks but losing one altogether. Ouch.

They hadnt marked them properly, Japan made an inquiry because they knew the scoring was off. In such a situation it was a bit crass to start making announcements. I just feel for the athletes initially being misled.
