The Oldies Thread

I'm 68 in a couple of weeks but I have had neither
With high petrol prices it's a decent perk. Here in Spain we get a pass that covers local buses only ( the city/town is so small I could walk across it while waiting on the bus arriving) half price on the beach bus. Does the National bus pass still cover London?

I have had free mersey travel for eight years and may have used it about 4 times. Have never used the free nationwide travel since I got it two years ago. If you do (or would) use public transport it is a definite money saver though.

It saves me a lot of money, travelling further afield you save by just paying from where Merseytravel finishes eg Newton-le-Willows to Manchester.

Remember being at a match in the 70's and 80's and your team would score and the opposition would sing "you're gonna get your f****n heads kicked in", oh I miss those days ?, probably done for hate crime now.

We where more resilient then.

I think back to Liverpool in the 1970's, yes we were brassic , the city was crumbling, but it had a unique character.

Town is now like any other city in the UK.
