Certainly was, you had to be ITK, besides stay behinds in pubs now and again. There were 'open all hours' places, usually in big set back 3 or 4 story Victorian or Edwardian terraces. Strangely enough, ones near police stations used to survive quite well.Like a secret society.

Yeah but I still would have to have barrowed it through the garage to the back, and it would've taken much longed than the hour they allow you (here at least).

Never missed TISWAS for 2 reasons and neither of them were Tarrent or Carrolgees, I only watched it because the kids liked it though
